HOW IT WORKS

The Giving Group PA is a group of Central PA friends, colleagues, and community members dedicated to making ample contributions to four selected non-profits each year. Each member will sign up and donate $100 each quarter by clicking the link below or going to the How to Join tab. Each quarter, 3-4 individuals will be chosen at random to pitch the non-profit they’d like to see get that quarter’s donations. The pitches are done at our quarterly meetings. The only criteria is that the organization be a non-profit.

Our goal is to gain 100 members to make the greatest contribution! This way, at $100 x 100 friends, we can donate $10,000 to a Non-Profit FOUR TIMES A YEAR!

When We Meet

We meet every 3 months. The meeting dates and times will be announced via social media and by heading to the Next Meeting tab.

Listen and Learn

Every member brings the name of a non-profit they are passionate about to enter into a random drawing. A week prior to each meeting, we will pick four non-profits and then at the meeting, the nominators will give a brief (less than 5 minute) pitch followed by a brief Q&A.

Vote on a Nonprofit

Members vote on which cause to support at each meeting.

How We Make an Impact

The non-profit that receives the most votes will be awarded the donations collected during that quarter. Your donation helps us to make a big impact in our community!
